We provide bespoke disability equality training for public, private and voluntary sector organisations.

We provide accessible, interactive and highly participative half day and one day courses. Our courses aim to:

  • provide participants with an understanding of disability equality
  • help them meet their legal obligations towards customers and employees
  • identify a range of ways to improve accessibility towards customers and employees.

For each course you will get:

  • an experienced and qualified trainer
  • an interactive and thought provoking session
  • a comprehensive resources pack.

Each course is tailored to clients' requirements and will include interactive sessions on myths and stereotypes about disabled people, language etiquette, the social and medical models of disability, disability discrimination law and practical ways to make reasonable adjustments.

We use a variety of training methods such as quizzes, whole and small group work, working in pairs and mind mapping. Our trainers have:

  • extensive training experience on disability equality
  • experience of working for statutory equality organisations such as the Disability Rights Commission and Equal Opportunities Commission
  • experience of working with organisations to develop equality and diversity policies
  • relevant training and teaching qualifications
  • experience in representing disabled people at a local level (eg. the dwarf Athletics Association and the Testricted Growth Association)
  • personal experience of disability and dealing with disability discrimination.
